Is Kensington Roof Gardens Still Open?
The rooftop itself is open again, but not as the club people remember. The original Roof Gardens, with its three themed gardens spread over 1.5 acres above Kensington High Street, shut as a club venue: Time Out's listing for The Roof Gardens is marked closed. The site reopened in 2024 under new ownership as The Roof Gardens, a private members' club.
That change is why searches for entry fees, table prices and guestlists no longer have a public answer. As of October 2026, a members' club does not sell door tickets or VIP tables to the public, and nothing on the rooftop can be booked through us or any other table service.
Kensington Roof Gardens Entry Fee and Table Prices Now
There is no entry fee to quote, because there is no public entry. The same goes for VIP tables and minimum spends: they belonged to the old nightclub, which closed in 2018, and they do not carry over to the members' club. Earlier versions of this page gave rough figures for the old club; we have removed them because we cannot verify them, and they would not get you in anyway.
Membership terms are set by the club itself and are not something we quote or arrange. If you are a member, or a member's guest, the club's own team is the only route in.
Can You Book a Table at Kensington Roof Gardens?

How Booking a Table Works at the Clubs We Book
- Notice: a week ahead is usually enough for a Friday or Saturday. For a birthday or a group of ten or more, two to three weeks gives you the best choice of table positions.
- Deposit: most clubs take a deposit to hold the table, and it comes off your minimum spend on the night rather than being charged on top.
- Arrival: arrive within the window you are given (usually 30 to 45 minutes of your booked time) or the club may release the table.
- Door: everyone needs valid photo ID (a passport or a UK photocard driving licence) and must be 18 or over. Dress smart; trainers and sportswear are the most common reason groups are turned away.
What the Old Roof Gardens Club Was Like
When it ran as a club, the Roof Gardens was unusual for London: a rooftop venue with landscaped gardens high above Kensington High Street, rather than a basement room in Mayfair or Soho. Time Out describes its dress code as "no effort, no entry", and some of its nights were open to non-members. That club is gone; the rooftop that operates today is a different, members-only business.
