What Changed: Tabu to Rumour
The club at 1 Dover Street that traded as Tabu London now runs under a new name, Rumour. The Tabu name is no longer used, and this page now covers Rumour. Figures you may find elsewhere for "Tabu Club prices" or "Tabu entry fee" describe the old club, not Rumour.
Booking a Table at Rumour
Send us your date, group size and rough budget through the Rumour table booking page and we come back with the tables available that night and the minimum spend. Nothing is confirmed until you have seen that quote and agreed to it. Once it is booked, we send your arrival time and what the door expects.
A table at a Mayfair club is a minimum spend, not a fee on top of your drinks: you reach the figure by ordering from the menu, and the table comes with entry for your group and service through the night. The minimum moves with the night, the table's position and the size of your group, which is why we quote per date rather than publish a single price. The Rumour Guestlist
Guestlist requests go through the Rumour guestlist page. Tabu's old guestlist terms (who could join and the entry fee) do not carry over, so we confirm who can join and what entry costs for your date when you get in touch.
Dress Code and ID
Rumour has not published its own dress code under the new name, so dress to the usual Mayfair standard: smart and elegant. For women that generally means heels or smart boots with a dress or tailored outfit; for men, smart shoes, trousers and a shirt. Sportswear, hoodies, caps and beachwear are refused at Mayfair doors. Mayfair clubs admit over-18s only and check physical ID at the door, so expect the same at Rumour: bring a valid passport or photo driving licence for everyone in your group, because expired ID and photos of ID on a phone are not accepted. Where Is Rumour?
Rumour is at 1 Dover Street, Mayfair, London W1S 4LD, the former Tabu London site. Green Park station is a couple of minutes' walk away, and the street is easy to reach by taxi.
Tabu Club London: The History
When it traded as Tabu, the club brought a Tokyo-inspired theme to Mayfair: dancers in LED bodysuits, walls covered in neon signage, a much-photographed powder room and staircase, and themed champagne shows. Tables were a minimum spend and the guestlist charged a small entry fee on regular nights. That was Tabu; Rumour's own look, music and prices have not been confirmed, so do not plan around them.
