Tabu Club London Guestlist on Sunday: Tabu Is Now Rumour

London Club VIP Tables·2025-01-29·3 min read

Tabu Club London is now Rumour, and public listings do not show it open on Sundays. The club at 1 Dover Street in Mayfair trades as Rumour, and public club listings show it open Wednesday to Saturday nights from 11pm, as of October 2026. If you were looking for a Sunday night at Tabu, the Rumour guestlist runs on those nights instead, and Tape London and Mistress of Mayfair are open on Sundays.

Tabu Is Now Rumour

The Tabu name is no longer used at 1 Dover Street, and this page now covers Rumour. Tabu's old guestlist terms (the ladies-only rule, the free drinks and the entry fee) do not carry over, so we confirm who can join and what entry costs for your date when you get in touch.

Joining the Rumour Guestlist

Send us your date (Wednesday to Saturday), the number of people and whether your group is mixed, and we confirm the guestlist terms for that night. Mixed groups and groups of men are usually better served by a table: request a Rumour table booking and we quote the minimum spend for your date before you commit. Our London guestlist FAQ explains how guestlists work in general.

What to Wear and What to Bring

Rumour has not published its own dress code under the new name, so dress to the usual Mayfair standard: smart and elegant. For women that generally means heels or smart boots with a dress or tailored outfit; for men, smart shoes, trousers and a shirt. Sportswear, hoodies, caps and beachwear are refused at Mayfair doors. If you are unsure about an outfit, send it to us before the night and we will check. Our London club dress code guide has the detail.

Mayfair clubs admit over-18s only and check physical ID at the door, so expect the same at Rumour: bring a valid passport or photo driving licence for everyone in your group, because expired ID and photos of ID on a phone are not accepted. Our guide to getting into London clubs without ID covers what the doors accept. Arrive by the time we give you: guestlists close earlier than the club does, and a door can turn away a group that arrives drunk.

Clubbing on a Sunday Instead

For a Sunday night in Mayfair, these open clubs we book are listed as open on Sundays:

Our guide to which London nightclubs are open on Sunday night covers the wider city, and Time Out's London clubs guide lists what is on each weekend.

Tabu: The History

When it traded as Tabu, the club was known for its Tokyo-inspired interior, its much-photographed powder room and staircase, and a low-key Sunday night alongside its busier weekend nights. That was Tabu; Rumour's nights and look have not been confirmed beyond the public listings, so do not plan around them.
