Tabu London Entry Fee: Tabu Is Now Rumour

London Club VIP Tables·2025-04-27·3 min read

Tabu London is now Rumour, and Tabu's old entry fee no longer applies. The club at 1 Dover Street in Mayfair trades as Rumour, which sets its own entry terms. Send us your date and we tell you what entry costs that night before you go; with a Rumour table booking, entry for your group comes with the table.

Tabu Is Now Rumour

The Tabu name is no longer used, and this page now covers Rumour. As of October 2026, public club listings show Rumour open Wednesday to Saturday nights from 11pm. Figures you may see for the "Tabu entry fee" describe the old club, not Rumour.

Entry on the Rumour Guestlist

Joining the Rumour guestlist through us costs nothing. On Mayfair guestlists, any entry fee is paid to the club at the door, not in advance, and it can change on special nights such as Halloween or New Year's Eve. Because Tabu's terms do not carry over, we confirm who can join Rumour's guestlist and what entry costs for your date when you get in touch. Our guide to whether you pay entry on a London guestlist explains how it usually works.

Entry with a Table

A table is the reliable way in for mixed groups and groups of men, and it removes the entry question: your group comes in on the table booking. A table at a Mayfair club is a minimum spend, not a fee on top of your drinks: you reach the figure by ordering from the menu, and the table comes with entry for your group and service through the night. The minimum moves with the night, the table's position and the size of your group, which is why we quote per date rather than publish a single price. Our London club tables FAQ explains deposits, group sizes and what is included.

Rumour sets its own minimum spends, and Tabu's old table prices do not carry over, so we quote the figure for your date and group before you commit.

What to Bring

Mayfair clubs admit over-18s only and check physical ID at the door, so expect the same at Rumour: bring a valid passport or photo driving licence for everyone in your group, because expired ID and photos of ID on a phone are not accepted. Our guide to getting into London clubs without ID covers what the doors accept. Rumour has not published its own dress code under the new name, so dress to the usual Mayfair standard: smart and elegant. For women that generally means heels or smart boots with a dress or tailored outfit; for men, smart shoes, trousers and a shirt. Sportswear, hoodies, caps and beachwear are refused at Mayfair doors. If you are unsure about an outfit, send it to us before the night and we will check. Our London club dress code guide has the detail.

Other Mayfair Clubs

If Rumour is busy on your date, these open clubs we book have a similar crowd and price level:

  • Tape London, Hanover Square, Mayfair: one of Mayfair's most exclusive clubs, hip-hop and R&B, open Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
  • Maddox Club, Mill Street, Mayfair: hip-hop and house in a polished setting, Thursday to Saturday.
  • Dear Darling, Jermyn Street, St James's: hip-hop and mixed music, Thursday to Sunday.
  • Reign, Piccadilly: a showclub that mixes cabaret performances with a club night, Tuesday and Thursday to Saturday.
  • Cirque le Soir, Ganton Street, Soho: London's most theatrical club, Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Our London club entry fee guide compares entry across the clubs, and Time Out's London clubs guide lists what is on each week.
